The Challenge

Request Foods is a leading manufacturer of frozen, prepared entrées and side dishes for both retail and foodservice applications. Request specializes in producing custom frozen entrées, side dishes, sauces, and appetizers for a diverse clientele, including national brands, private labels, club stores, and foodservice providers. As a co-manufacturer for national brands, their extensive product range encompasses nearly 800 custom recipes, featuring items like lasagna, macaroni and cheese, stuffed peppers, skillet meals, and globally inspired dishes. Their logo dates back to the company’s 1990 start and needed a modernized look to launch the company’s next generation.

Our Approach

Acorn Marketing has been a go-to resource for Request Foods for over 25 years, so when it came time for this refresh, company president, Steve DeWitt, put all of his trust in our team to help them pay homage to the company’s roots and ensure the new branding would work well across every touchpoint. The new logo features a modernized version of the “kettle” that has stood as Request’s recognizable identity for the past 35 years. Our brand strategy focused on maintaining this memorable icon, but updating it to a more refined, up-to-date shape and font; and selecting a palette of colors that helps blend tradition with innovation at each of their manufacturing plants and across all of their marketing. Once established, the Acorn Marketing team developed the new Request Foods website, updated tradeshow displays, and all interior and exterior signage at each building.
