The Challenge

Otis McAllister, Inc., headquartered in Oakland, California, is a global food importer specializing in products like rice, canned goods, and premium grains. Serving retailers, club stores, and foodservice providers across the U.S. and in international markets, the company combines over a century of industry expertise with worldwide sourcing, logistics, and brand-building services. As Otis McAllister prepared to make sales presentations aiming to drive new business growth outside the United States, they recognized the need to showcase their rice packaging in multiple languages. Their corporate marketing team wanted to first showcase their ability to provide translation and package design services, reinforcing their reputation as a trusted partner in the industry.  Launch a limited line of products in Canada – foodservice and club stores.

Our Approach

Through collaboration with the Otis McAllister team, Acorn created mock-up designs in various languages for presenting to prospective customers, providing them the ability to experience full-scale, executed packages. To maintain consistent branding across Otis McAllister’s Super Lucky Elephant, Emerald River, and Village Harvest rice brands, Acorn carefully managed language translation and provided package designs for each product, ensuring compliance with the brand’s visual identity for international expansion.

Deliverables
