In preparation for the 43rd annual Michigan Horse Expo at Michigan State University, the Michigan Horse Council was seeking updated apparel to celebrate the event and highlight a very special theme: The Year of the Horse. The challenge was to create a fresh, eye-catching logo that incorporated the Year of the Horse concept while still aligning with the recognizable Michigan Horse Expo branding. The design also needed to translate well onto event merchandise, including hoodies and t-shirts, ensuring attendees would want to wear and remember the event long after the weekend ended.
The Michigan Horse Council partnered with Acorn Marketing to develop a custom logo that blended the Year of the Horse theme with the established Michigan Horse Expo identity. The design was created with apparel in mind—clean, bold, and highly visible on garments. Once the logo was finalized, we produced high-quality hoodies and t-shirts that showcased the design, giving event organizers and attendees a wearable way to celebrate the expo and the horse community.
