The Michigan Horse Expo is one of the Midwest’s premier annual events for horse enthusiasts, bringing together riders, trainers, and industry experts for education, competition, and community. Acorn Marketing partners annually with the event’s organizers from Michigan Horse Council to produce apparel to be worn by event staff, and to sell at the Expo. In preparation for their 43rd annual event, the Acorn team designed new artwork to help highlight this year’s very special theme: The Year of the Horse. The challenge was to create a fresh, eye-catching logo that incorporated the Year of the Horse theme while still aligning with the recognizable Michigan Horse Expo branding. The design also needed to translate well onto event merchandise, including hoodies and t-shirts, ensuring attendees would want to wear and remember the event long after the weekend ended.
The Michigan Horse Council partnered with Acorn Marketing to develop a custom logo that blended the Year of the Horse theme with the established Michigan Horse Expo identity. The design was created with apparel in mind—clean, bold, and highly visible on garments. Once the logo was finalized, we produced high-quality hoodies and t-shirts that showcased the design, giving event organizers and attendees a wearable way to celebrate the expo and the horse community.
