The Challenge

One of the primary challenges Soils and Structures faced in developing a new website was ensuring that the platform accurately reflected the firm’s evolving capabilities while improving its visibility to potential clients. As a Michigan-based engineering and consulting company with four locations across the state, the firm needed a modern site that clearly showcased its expanded expertise in geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, construction material testing, laboratory testing, and infrastructure design, along with highlighting recent project successes.

The existing website no longer fully represented the breadth of services the company provides or supported modern browsing expectations. As a result, the new website had to be strategically redesigned with improved content structure, clearer service messaging, and stronger search and browser optimization so that businesses seeking engineering, testing, and infrastructure consulting services could more easily discover and engage with the firm online.

Our Approach

Acorn Marketing addressed the website challenges faced by Soils and Structures by designing and developing a modern, user-focused website that better reflected the company’s expertise, expanded capabilities, and commitment to client service. Through close collaboration with the Soils and Structures team, we helped create clear, relevant content that highlighted the firm’s services.

The new website incorporates updated photography, engaging video, and detailed project galleries that visually represent the real-world work the company performs across its four locations in Michigan. Special attention was given to improving searchability and browser friendliness by organizing content more strategically and expanding service-related information so businesses seeking engineering and testing solutions can more easily find the firm online. The design team implemented a complementary color palette that draws attention to key messages while remaining consistent with established brand guidelines.

The result is a more engaging and informative digital experience that educates visitors, highlights Soils and Structures’ dedication to its customers, and encourages potential clients to take the next step in connecting with the firm.
